Leadership
Design Source International began in 1991 as a transition from a localized design service to working on many diverse and varied projects both regional and over seas. The Principal Paul L. James began offering both Industrial and Architectural design solutions in a simple one man office in 1980 growing the office to numerous design and drafting professionals in house. Now semi-retired, Paul continues to offer his diverse experience as a design consultant.
Philosophy
With nearly 40 years of experience and projects too diverse and numerous to list, the over riding principal is a deep appreciation of space and the effects shaping of those spaces and objects ultimately has upon those who interact with them.
The Commons
DSI is keenly aware of the inter relationships and interactions the designed enviorment has upon the system as a whole. It is no coincidence they have participated in, and sought out initiatives to serve. Design efforts that focus on returns that look to future generations and to the well being of our world as a whole, as opposed to short term profits and advantaging a few at the expense of many. This matters, and is a core part of DSI focus.
